<p>A <strong>Ford Motor Company</strong>, uma das fabricantes de automóveis mais icónicas dos Estados Unidos e detentora da marca de luxo <strong>Lincoln</strong>, anunciou um <strong>recall mundial de cerca de 1,9 milhões de veículos</strong> devido a um defeito grave nas câmaras de marcha-atrás. O problema pode distorcer imagens, mostrá-las invertidas ou até impedir o funcionamento do sistema, comprometendo a segurança dos condutores e passageiros.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Modelos afetados e regiões de impacto</h2>



<p>Entre os veículos incluídos no recall estão o <strong>Ford Mustang, Expedition, Edge, Transit, Econoline Ranger</strong>, bem como os <strong>Lincoln MKC e Navigator</strong>, fabricados entre <strong>2015 e 2019</strong>.</p>

<p>Embora o Centro Coreano de Recolha de Veículos Motorizados ainda não tenha anunciado medidas, uma campanha paralela foi aberta para lidar com fivelas de cintos de segurança defeituosos.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Histórico de falhas e multa recorde</h2>



<p>Este não é o primeiro recall da Ford devido ao mesmo defeito. Em <strong>2020</strong>, mais de <strong>620.000 veículos</strong> foram recolhidos pelo mesmo problema, com campanhas adicionais em <strong>2022</strong> e <strong>2024</strong>.</p>



<p>Em novembro de 2024, a <strong>Administração Nacional de Segurança no Tráfego Rodoviário (NHTSA)</strong> aplicou à Ford uma <strong>multa de US$ 1,65 mil milhões</strong>, um valor histórico, devido a atrasos na implementação do recall. Até ao momento, a montadora registou <strong>44.000 reclamações de garantia</strong> e <strong>18 incidentes</strong> associados ao defeito, embora não tenham sido relatados ferimentos.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Recorde de recalls em 2024</h2>



<p>Até agosto de 2024, a Ford já tinha conduzido <strong>104 campanhas de recall</strong>, afetando mais de <strong>9,3 milhões de veículos</strong> – o maior número anual de recalls já registado por uma única fabricante.</p>



<p>Além disso, em julho de 2024, a marca gastou <strong>US$ 600 milhões</strong> para corrigir falhas em injetores de combustível, e em agosto outro recall atingiu cerca de <strong>100.000 veículos</strong> devido a defeitos nos airbags.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Orientações para proprietários</h2>



<p>A Ford informa que todos os clientes com veículos afetados podem solicitar <strong>inspeções gratuitas e substituição das câmaras defeituosas</strong> nos centros de assistência autorizados.</p>
